One of my favorite days of the year…the FIRST day of school! Like a lot of parents, the past week has been busy! Buying school supplies- backpacks- lunchboxes, making sure everything is labeled and getting ready for the routine to start again.

For several weeks in August and into the first week of September, my Facebook feed is filled with all my mom friends posting the pictures of their kids on the first day of school.

I see Pinterest come alive as creative moms post pictures with chalkboard frames with the school year and grade and their sweet child perfectly pressed and dressed. My pictures on the other hand… well let’s just leave it that at least I get pictures of all of them on the first day of school.

So my parenting tip this week is: 10 days before school starts we start getting back into the routine every night going to bed 10 minutes sooner and waking up 10 minutes earlier. The 10-10-10 rule= kids ready for the first day of school!

What your best first day of school tip? Make sure to leave your tips in the comment secton of the facebook post.
