The community fundraising event, in honor of Cory Bartle, will feature Olympic skateboarder Zion Wright.

West Palm Beach, Fla. (August 6, 2024) – The Hanley Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Bartle BBQ Hang on Saturday, August 24, to help combat addiction and bring awareness about the devastating addiction crisis. The family-friendly skateboard and barbecue event will be held at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, featuring special guest Zion Wright, an Olympic skateboarder and Jupiter, Fla., native.
The Bartle BBQ Hang honors 34-year-old Cory Bartle, an avid skateboarder and culinary artist who tragically died from an accidental fentanyl overdose in 2022. Event proceeds will raise money for Hanley Foundation’s Cory Bartle Memorial Fund.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy a barbecue feast catered by SandyJames Fine Food & Productions, kids’ games and activities, live music, and a half pipe competition led by skateboarding professionals, Mike Rogers and Zion Wright.
A respected skater across Florida, Wright started skateboarding at the age of 4 and is a member of the USA Skateboarding Team. He recently competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games, finishing 11th in the Men’s Park Division.
Tickets for the Bartle BBQ Hang are $50 for adults, $35 for juniors (ages 13-30), and free for kids age 12 and under, and can be purchased at hanleyfoundation.org/bbq.
