Campaign for Recovery

Creating Hope. Leading Change.

For over four decades, Hanley Foundation has been at the forefront of addiction treatment and behavioral health. What started with the vision of Jack and Mary Jane Hanley and the support of the local community has grown into a world-class treatment facility that serves individuals and families across the nation. Hanley Center, founded in 1984, has since become a national leader in behavioral health, providing innovative solutions to those facing substance use and mental health challenges.

Innovation, Breakthrough, and Impact

Hanley Foundation is embarking on its most ambitious effort yet: the Campaign for Recovery. With a goal of raising $35 million, this campaign is about more than just funding—it’s about transforming lives. It’s about creating innovative spaces, expanding essential services, and driving real change for future generations. Every dollar raised ensures Hanley continues to lead the way in behavioral health, education, and recovery for years to come.

Expanding Our Programs and Services: Building State-of-the-Art Facilities

As we continue to expand, Hanley Foundation is committed to creating specialized, state-of-the-art facilities to meet the unique needs of our patients.

New Facilities:

  • Mothers and Babies Pavilion: A residential treatment facility for pregnant women and postpartum mothers will provide comprehensive substance use disorder care, helping to break the generational cycle of addiction and provide a pathway to recovery.
  • Early Learning Center: This center will focus on children exposed to substances in utero, offering specialized interventions that optimize each child’s health and learning potential.
  • Patriots Pavilion: Designed for veterans, first responders, and their families, this residential treatment center will provide support tailored to those who have bravely served our country.
  • Family Healing Center: A space dedicated to helping families heal from the impact of behavioral health challenges.

Enhancing Our Facilities: Creating Spaces for Education, Treatment, and Recovery

To ensure we provide the best care and support to those in need, Hanley is committed to enhancing and expanding its facilities. Through the Campaign for Recovery, we will create preeminent spaces that inspire healing, connection, and long-term success.

Key Projects:

  • Renovated and Expanded Resource Center: Our Resource Center will transform into a community hub where individuals can access educational programs, peer support, job training, and long-term recovery services. Complete with a café and recovery bookstore, it will be a space of learning and support.
  • Welcoming Arrival Experience: A new road connecting our Resource Center campus with our main campus will enhance accessibility, and a welcoming center will offer a warm and supportive arrival experience for all.
  • Therapeutic Campus: Outdoor meditation spaces, communal areas, gardens, and green spaces will be developed to foster reflection, connection, and healing.
  • Historic Pavilion Renovations: We will expand and renovate our pavilions, creating custom spaces aligned with best practices in substance use disorder treatment for various populations, including older adults, professionals, men, women, and individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Revolutionizing Recovery: Cutting-Edge Behavioral Health and Medical Support

At Hanley, we know that recovery requires more than just traditional treatment. That’s why our highly skilled multidisciplinary team provides innovative, personalized care for every individual.

Innovations in Care:

  • Neurological Interventions: Our Center for Brain Recovery will offer cutting-edge neurological treatments that address the root causes of addiction and behavioral health issues.
  • Teaching and Training: As a teaching and training site for behavioral health and medical professionals, Hanley will provide internships, clinical placements, and residency opportunities for the next generation of care providers.
  • Holistic Therapies: We integrate physical and holistic therapies into every treatment plan. From physical therapy for older adults to yoga, meditation, acupuncture, Reiki, massage, art, and music, we support the mind, body, and spirit on the path to recovery.

The Power of Treatment: Proof That Healing is Possible

We know that our treatment works. Our independent surveys of alums over a three-year period have confirmed what families, clinicians, and former patients have known for decades—Hanley’s treatment programs change lives. From the first step through long-term recovery, our holistic approach delivers lasting results.

In 2023, 48.5 million people in the U.S. aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder, according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health. Of these:

  • 28.9 million had an alcohol use disorder
  • 27.2 million had a drug use disorder
  • 7.5 million had both

Every statistic represents a person—a parent, a friend, a child—struggling with addiction. And every dollar raised through the Campaign for Recovery helps Hanley provide the support, treatment, and hope they need.

Join the Movement:
Be Part of the Change

At Hanley Foundation, we believe in the power of recovery. As one of our alums, Steve C., said: “Treatment at Hanley not only saved my life but also reignited my passion to help others. Now, I’m living proof that recovery is possible, and that others facing the challenges of addiction and PTSD are not alone.”

By supporting the Campaign for Recovery, you can help us reach our goal of $35 million and ensure that Hanley continues to lead the way in addiction treatment and behavioral health. Together, we can create a brighter future for individuals and families facing the challenges of addiction and mental health issues.
