Join Hanley Foundation in Fort Myers for the Southwest Florida First Responder Mental Health Symposium, November 11, 2024 from 9AM – 1PM.

First responders of all specializations are more likely than the general public to experience mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and problematic substance use. This is no surprise, given the constant levels of stress, exposure to trauma, and the need to be in a continuous state of alertness.

In this training, we will discuss the nature of crisis, trauma, and coping. Participants will examine how individual and group perspectives of these issues impact mental health and well-being, and we will dispel myths that tend to hold people back from healing and growth. Finally, we will explore practical ways of helping self and others to maintain whole-person well-being, including mental and emotional health.

Light breakfast refreshments will be provided.
