poll fun

Some of us have been in school for a couple of weeks while others will start tomorrow—but either way, Labor Day is the unofficial end to summer fun. But the fun should never stop for families.

Dr. Popkin, author and CEO of Active Parenting has a great motto: every day a little play! Trust me I know how busy and crazy life can get but we need to make time to play with our kids. It’s so important to teach our kids how to de-stress in appropriate ways. It doesn’t have to be a long time and it doesn’t have to be expensive.

Play at the park or beach, play tag in the backyard. Are you more of an indoor family—play a board game or video game together or even a pillow fight. We have had crazy dance off nights and even lightsaber duals.

What is a creative way your family finds to play?  Leave your suggestions on our Facebook page, #MomSays.
