(PALM BEACH) – Hanley Foundation’s Palm Beach Dinner will be a harborside celebration on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at the Sailfish Club of Florida in Palm Beach. The “Dreamcatcher” benefit will include live music, an incredible silent auction and an elegant dinner, all to bring awareness and community resources to alcohol and drug prevention and treatment efforts.
“Hanley Foundation’s mission is combating addiction – a disease that robs all those affected of their lifelong dreams,” said Turner Benoit, Chief Development Officer for Hanley Foundation. “At the Foundation, ‘Dreamcatcher’ represents our mission of protecting the dreams of our children through prevention and restoring the dreams of those suffering a substance use disorder through quality treatment.”

“Last year, Palm Beach County led the state in opioid-related overdose deaths, with more than 600 deaths, and more than 5,000 total opioid overdoses recorded in 2016,” said Fritz Van der Grift, Co-Chair for the 2019 Palm Beach Dinner. “The Palm Beach Dinner will raise critical dollars to support Hanley’s mission of combating substance use disorders. We hope to see you all on January 17 for a night of raising funds and awareness about this timely issue.”
Established more than 30 years ago by Mary Jane and Jack Hanley, Hanley Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to give hope to individuals, families and communities affected by substance use disorders. The Foundation provides programming and grant support throughout Florida for advocacy, prevention, education and access to quality addiction treatment. The organization’s prevention programming is available to schools, churches and community groups through grant funding provided by the Florida Department of Children and Families, office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health.
