DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Boca Chamber Festival Days event!\nJoin us at Waterstone Resort & Marina for a gourmet happy hour and Boca Celebrity Cook-Off benefiting Hanley Foundation! Enjoy complimentary appetizers\, a signature cocktail or mocktail\, a cash bar\, raffles\, and entertainment on Thursday\, August 1\, 2024\, from 5:30-7:30pm. Our 2024 Boca celebrity chefs will be announced soon! \nTickets are $35 in advance and $50 at the door.\nEmcee: Neil Saffer\nJudge: Troy McLellan \nCelebrity Chef Teams:\nGeorge Petrocelli & Dr. Nathan Nachlas\nDavid Dweck & Bruce Spizler\nJan & Matt Savarick\nDean Naelys Luna & Dr. Katie Burke \nBoca Chamber’s Festival Days will also serve as Hanley Foundation’s kickoff event for the upcoming Hanley Foundation’s 4th Annual Brice’s Makris Brunch held Sunday\, December 15th. Hanley Foundation Board Member and Boca resident Michelle Makris and her husband John will chair the event that honors their son\, Brice Makris\, who passed away in March 2020 from a Fentanyl overdose. The benefit raises funds for prevention programming and recovery scholarships. \nTragically\, overdose rates have skyrocketed\, and many people in our community struggle with mental health issues and substance misuse. With the help of the Boca Chamber and the Makris family\, Hanley Foundation is increasing awareness of substance use disorders in South Palm Beach County. With the proceeds of this Boca Chamber Festival Days event and Hanley Foundation’s Annual Brice Makris Brunch\, we will be able to increase our prevention programming to stop substance use disorder before it begins and provide scholarship programs to provide resources for those who cannot afford the financial burden of recovery. \nIf you can’t make it but would like to donate\, please click here.
